About ClipForensics
We build forensic tools for people who need to know whether what they're watching is real.
Our mission
ClipForensics exists to make video authenticity assessable. Not guaranteed — assessable. We provide forensic evidence that helps journalists, researchers, legal teams, and organizations make informed decisions about video content.
We believe the greatest threat to media trust is not deepfakes themselves, but the erosion of shared reality that comes when any footage can be dismissed as "AI-generated" or accepted without scrutiny. Forensic analysis provides a rational middle ground.
What We Stand For
Our principles
Transparency
Every result is explainable. We show which modules contributed to a verdict, what evidence they found, and how confident each assessment is. No black boxes.
Honesty
We never claim 100% accuracy. We publish our limitations. When evidence is insufficient, we say "Inconclusive" rather than guessing.
Education
We publish research, guides, and tools to help people understand media authenticity — not just use our product.
Responsibility
We consider the societal impact of our work. Forensic tools can be misused to falsely discredit authentic content. We design against this.

ClipForensics runs 15 independent forensic analysis modules on every video — examining metadata, compression signatures, visual artifacts, facial manipulation, lip-sync alignment, audio synthesis, motion physics, and more.
Results are fused using weighted scoring with agreement bonuses and contradiction penalties, producing transparent verdicts that show their evidence.
